Cask Cooling Ice Blanket

The Ice blanket is the only BRC accredited gel ice pack manufactured in the UK.

Once blankets have been soaked and frozen, they can last up to 3 hours.

For events longer than this we suggest alternating between two blankets, swapping a thawed one with another that is already in the freezer.

• Soak Ice Blanket for 10 minutes in water

Tip: to speed up the process, use warm water to agitate the cells and speed up the hydration process

• Shake to remove excess water
• Shake the Ice blanket fabric to foil in the freezer (as low as -40°c)

Tip: for extra assurance, interweave the sheets/blocks with film or wax paper to prevent excess water freezing together

• Remove from freezer and add the Ice Blanket around the barrel
